NINNIC & Toothless Limited Edition Plush vs. Standard Plush: Which to Collect?

Quick Answer

If you love poseable, fashion-forward characters you can restyle, go with the NINNIC Wild & Free plush keychain blind box. If you prefer a ready-to-display, character-specific piece with a playful theme, the Crayon Shin-chan Here Comes Your Johnny plush keychain is a charming, budget-friendly pick. Both are great, but your choice depends on whether you value customization or instant character appeal.

When you're eyeing a new plush collectible, the choice often comes down to two things: how much you want to play with it and how much you want to show it off. The NINNIC Wild & Free plush keychain blind box and the Crayon Shin-chan Here Comes Your Johnny plush keychain offer very different experiences, even though both clip onto your bag.

In this comparison, we'll look at what each brings to your collection—poseability, style, and price—so you can decide which one fits your collecting goals. We'll also touch on other plush options from 52TOYS to give you a fuller picture.

Poseability and Play Value

The NINNIC Wild & Free plush keychain stands out with an internal skeleton that lets you bend its 13cm body into endless poses. That means you can set it sitting, standing, or even hanging in a dynamic way, which is a big plus if you like to photograph your collection or create little scenes. The clothes and shoes are removable, so you can swap outfits and change the look whenever you want.

The Crayon Shin-chan Here Comes Your Johnny plush keychain is a more traditional plush. At about 15cm tall, it's a soft, huggable figure with a fixed pose—Shin-chan bundled in a cockroach costume. There's no articulation, so what you see is what you get. If you're after a plush that's more about display and less about fiddling, this is a simpler, no-fuss option.

• If you love posing and restyling, NINNIC's internal skeleton and removable outfit are a clear win.
• If you prefer a classic, ready-to-display plush, the Shin-chan keychain is straightforward and charming.

Style and Character Appeal

The NINNIC Wild & Free blind box features a witty, fashionable persona with themes like After School Time and Party Kitty. It's a modern, trendy design that appeals to collectors who enjoy fashion-forward characters and the surprise of a blind box. The ability to mix and match clothes adds a layer of personalization that's rare in plush toys.

The Crayon Shin-chan Here Comes Your Johnny plush keychain is all about character nostalgia. Shin-chan's cheeky expression and the cockroach costume mid-kitchen-battle are instantly recognizable to fans of the series. It's a fun, quirky piece that celebrates a beloved character, and it doesn't require any styling to be enjoyable.

• NINNIC offers a customizable, fashion-forward aesthetic.
• Shin-chan delivers instant character recognition and playful charm.

Price and Value

Price is a practical factor. The NINNIC Wild & Free plush keychain blind box is priced at USD 14.00, with a catalog comparison price of USD 27.99. That's a significant discount, making it an affordable entry into a poseable plush line. The blind box format means you get one random design, which adds a collect-and-trade element.

The Crayon Shin-chan Here Comes Your Johnny plush keychain is even more budget-friendly at USD 8.99, down from USD 17.99. If you're looking for a low-cost way to add a character piece to your collection, this is a great option. It's not a blind box, so you know exactly what you're getting.

• NINNIC gives you more features for a slightly higher price.
• Shin-chan is a lower-cost, no-surprise purchase.

Tradeoffs to Consider

• Customization vs. Simplicity: NINNIC offers poseability and outfit swapping, but that means more parts and a blind box surprise. Shin-chan is a simple, ready-to-display piece with no assembly or styling required. If you enjoy hands-on play and restyling, pick NINNIC. If you want a hassle-free display piece, Shin-chan is easier.
• Price vs. Features: NINNIC costs USD 14.00, while Shin-chan is USD 8.99. The higher price buys you articulation and a removable outfit, but the lower price still delivers a charming, quality plush. Budget-conscious collectors can save with Shin-chan; those wanting more interactive features can justify NINNIC's price.
• Blind Box Surprise vs. Known Purchase: NINNIC is a blind box, so you don't know which persona you'll get—part of the fun, but also a risk if you have a favorite. Shin-chan is a direct purchase, so you get exactly what you see. If you enjoy the surprise and potential trading, choose NINNIC. If you prefer certainty, Shin-chan is the safer bet.
